Are you ready to blend relaxation with competition? CCTF DAO is thrilled to announce a unique hackathon event set in the picturesque location of Bali. This hackathon promises a perfect mix of intense coding and tropical tranquillity, creating an environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
Unleashing Creativity at the CCTF DAO Hackathon
The CCTF DAO Hackathon, in collaboration with the Polkadot Championship, is designed to push the boundaries of innovation. Developers and enthusiasts will gather in Bali to create groundbreaking projects from scratch.
This hackathon mimics real-world scenarios, where participants are expected to develop their projects on the spot, aiming to get as close to a finished product as possible. Each project will then be tested and evaluated, providing a comprehensive experience of a true hackathon.
For more details about the hackathon, visit the official Polkadot Championship website.
Requirements and Guide to Join
To participate, you need to fill out the prequalification form here. However, there’s a twist – the form requires secret flags that can be obtained by completing a specific challenge.
First, head to this site and find the Polkadot Championship challenge. You’ll be redirected to the main challenge repository here. The README file here explains the detailed requirements.
Prequalification Challenges
To qualify, participants need to complete four prequalification challenges. Each challenge is designed to test different skill sets and aspects of blockchain development:
- Web3 Business Plan:
This challenge requires participants to submit a comprehensive Web3 project business plan. The plan must include an idea focused on Web3/blockchain technology, an executive summary, a product description with technical terms, team roles and responsibilities, financial planning for the first year, and a roadmap to a self-sustaining project.
Participants need to keep asking themselves how their project will make money. The detailed requirements can be seen here.
- Entropy with Shannon:
This challenge involves calculating the Shannon Entropy of “Web3Mantra” after converting it into Base64 and then to Hex. Participants need to find the flag by inserting the value with exactly 17 digits after the decimal point. More details can be found here.
- Entry Solidity Challenge:
Participants need to find the flag within a smart contract. This challenge tests the participants’ ability to read and understand Solidity code. More information is available here.
- Get Rusty from this Old Challenge:
This challenge involves understanding and solving a problem related to Rust programming. Participants must look at the binary to find the flag. Details are provided here.
Main Challenge
During the hackathon, participants will tackle a main challenge that involves implementing one of the three key features. The details of the main challenges can be found here. These challenges include tracks on DAO, Security and Privacy, and AI on Blockchain:
- DAO Track:
Participants need to implement a DAO structure using technologies within the Polkadot ecosystem, preferably Substrate. They can choose from educational, governmental, or existing project DAOs.
- Security and Privacy Track:
This track focuses on improving the security and privacy of the ecosystem. Participants must choose a meaningful system to implement, related to projects like Gear, SubWallet, or their privacy-protecting implementation.
- AI Blockchain Track:
Participants explore the integration of AI with blockchain technology, finding ways where blockchain and AI can make sense together. The focus is on practical, realistic implementations that enhance the ecosystem.
Judging Criteria
Judges will score each team’s project based on several criteria, including idea ecosystem fit, logic flow and topology, presented demo and code, viability and sustainability, practicality, security model, and the second challenge proposal. Each criterion has a maximum score of 10, and the total maximum score a team can achieve for their main project is 70.
Exciting Rewards Await
The reward pool for this hackathon has been generously increased from $10,000 to an impressive $20,000. This ensures that the efforts and innovations of the participants are rewarded adequately, making the competition even more thrilling.
